Due to ongoing citywide power outages, extreme weather conditions, and internet problems the Harmony Science Academy-Odessa is canceled for tomorrow, February 17th, 2021. There is no in-person and/or live zoom session. We will keep you updating with our plan for Thursday.

Greetings HPS Family and Friends,

As we look forward to the three day weekend, we wanted to make you aware of some changes regarding meal distribution for Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Meal distribution will be changed to Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from 7:30 to 9:00 am due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on January 18. Meal distribution will continue every Monday (7:30-9:00 am) and Friday (3:00-4:00 pm) thereafter for the month of January. All meal distribution dates beyond January will be communicated on a monthly basis.

SSO is a free meal program for all children ages 18 and under. Students 21 and under who are currently enrolled in a school and are identified as mentally or physically disabled are also eligible. Meal distribution is open to our students, their siblings, and the community.

Parents wishing to pick up a meal box without children present will need to present one of the following to verify guardianship:

Individual student report cards

Attendance record from parent portal of a school website1-13-2021 January Meal Distribution Email for Odessa and Lubbock

Birth certificate

Official letter/email from facility or school listing children enrolled

Other official ID cards (for example, IDs issued by a child care facility)

 

While our goal is to be able to provide meals to all families for each of their children, please note that meal boxes are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dear Harmony Families,

It is incredible to see how quickly this year is coming to an end.  We have completed the first quarter of the school year and well into the second quarter. We have faced successes and challenges in the past months however, we have continued to work to provide a positive, safe learning environment for our students. 

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, our campus will be closed from Monday, November 23, 2020, through Friday, November 27, 2020. Students will return to school on Monday, November 30, 2020. 

During this time of thanks and reflection, I would like to thank our Harmony families for all your patience and support. We are thankful for our hardworking faculty and staff who have shown a  commitment to student learning.

We hope you take this time to relax and enjoy your family. Please stay safe and immediately inform our campus if your child has been exposed to someone who has COVID or tested positive during Thanksgiving break. If this is the case, please keep your child(ren) at home for 14 days for quarantine purposes and continue online education with the regular schedule.

Please fill out the form below if you would like to nominate your child and have her/him tested as part of the screening and identification process for the Harmony Public Schools Gifted and Talented Program.
Fill out a separate form for each child to be nominated. Your electronic signature at the end of this form indicates that you are aware that nomination and permission do NOT ensure placement into the program. Testing will be done during the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year.
